Dear Hearts from WorkByRemedy on Vimeo.
Context from Josh Sliffe: "This was the first video I did under "Remedy", as part of our first series of videos. When we started, we made videos for free. We picked the people (Dear Hearts, Fullsteam, Raleigh Denim) and pitched them a free video. We did it how we wanted so we'd have the best chance starting out with a portfolio that represented the kind of work we wanted to get/do. Shot it in a day with a couple 7d's and an audio recorder."

Context from Josh Sliffe: "I had no direction or clue of what the story was pretty much up to the point where production was complete and I sat down to start editing. I just had access. Basically same situation I currently have with a doc that I'm working on for Iron & Wine. We had to dig and formulate something by just trusting in natural story structures and being present in the interview environments. Then of course doing some heavy lifting in post to make it all make sense and trim the fat. The trailer really kind of served as the typical EPK, or general marketing material, for musician Phil Cook."
• Reflections: Students should write reflections on readings and viewings and submit reflections using their personalized Google Doc link (emailed following week 2). Reflections must be submitted by 12pm Sunday, March 17th.
REMINDER: 25% of your final grade will be based on class participation and reflection papers. See Reflection Papers under grading on the overview page for an exposition of this assignment.
